Teen Culinary Camp What I did on my Summer Vacation 1:00PM – 4:00PM

$299.00Calling all kids for a week of mad-delicious food experiments and learning how to cook your favorite foods! All week we’ll get hands-on and cover fundamentals such as basic knife skills, how to read and follow a recipe, measuring and mixing, and the importance of kitchen safety. Best of all, we’ll get into the fun scientific details of cooking, including the importance of using specific amounts of ingredients and cooking times. Along the way, kids will learn how to make great food that will impress their family and friends.
WHAT I DID on MY SUMMER VACATION
Ages 12 to 16 years old
Monday- Knife Skills & Sauce Basics: Chef Salad with Ranch Dressing, Macaroni and Cheese from Scratch (Béchamel) Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (Crème Anglaise) with Chocolate Sauce
Tuesday – Sauté, Braise and Roast and Bake: Lemon Chicken Piccata, Risotto, Roasted Summer Veggie Kabobs and Roasted Strawberry Shortcakes
Wednesday – Perfect Pasta: Italian Chopped Salad, Homemade Pasta Dough, Homemade Ravioli with Browned Butter, Handmade Spaghetti with Fresh Tomato Sauce and Tiramisu
Thursday: Bake Shop: Caesar Salad with Baked Parmesan Cheese Crisp, Old Fashion Meat Pie
Baked Garden Vegetable Gratin and Blackberry Slab Pie
Friday: The Ultimate Mystery Box Team Challenge: We will break up teen into team to create there own meal.
