Madison Cooking Club Host Chef Cristian of Babulu’s 6:30PM – 8:30PM

Chef Cristian grew up in the restaurant industry.
 He worked in his father’s restaurant in his hometown of San Cristobal, Táchir, Venezuela, from a young age. Not only did the experience kindle his love of cooking, but he credits his parents for instilling in him a drive to succeed and a strong work ethic.
Chef Cristian later opened his own bakery inVenezuela; however, when government conflicts made it difficult to operate a business, he made the decision to move to the United States. As the executive chef of Babalu Jackson, Chef Cristian loves that each day is a new experience. He enjoys experimentingwith spices and his favorite ingredient to cook with is garlic.
